Introduction

We want to be transparent and open with the development and future of Mineral (we will do the same with all Xitol games). We are a small team and we designed Mineral to be a complete game, but that hasn’t stopped us having ideas on how to expand Mineral, as well as acting on feedback from those around us.

This roadmap is how we are breaking down the development to expand Mineral into a larger game, both with free updates and paid DLC packs.

Items listed in Orange are in-progress.

Release 1.0 | Initial Launch

Out Now on Steam | Initial Unreal Engine 4 version of Mineral.

Launch on Steam using Unreal Engine 4 featuring all 56 Core World levels, 3 Abilities, Ability Replay (New Game Plus style mode where you can replay each level using abilities from the start), Collectables, Achievements, Secrets and Easter Eggs.

Title Update 1.1 | Home Console Update

Releasing 10th January 2025 | Delayed from 2024 due to technical changes from UE4 to UE5, ready to release.

PLATFORM ADDITIONS

Increased PC availability with the inclusion of Epic Games Store and Windows Store (With Xbox Achievements).

Additional platform releases of Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X and PlayStation 5.

FREE UPDATES

Free update to Unreal Engine 5 for Steam Players, all 1.1 platforms will run on Unreal Engine 5.

Title Update 1.2 | Noble Core

Coming Early 2025 | Currently in active development.

Release of 40 new levels as part of Noble Core DLC Pack.

In-Game currency (Crystals) to buy customisation – you can buy currency with money but also unlock it by playing the game. We will never lock any customisation options behind premium currency, we know some people will want the choice on how they get items.

FREE UPDATES

Customisation Store – Unlock Player Shells, Trails and Effects in-game. Some items will be unlocked only by completing Achievements and In-Game challenges, others can be unlocked with Crystals which can be earnt by in-game actions or purchased from game marketplaces.

Summary

We hope you appreciate our transparency and plan for our roadmap, each DLC is built on ideas we have been suggested or have had ourselves since Mineral Launched. We haven’t cut anything back to sell at a later point, and each DLC will include content at least 1/2 the size of the core game. We had to split it up to release it in manageable sizes, and it to be fairly priced.

We shall update this page with any changes, including showing Prices of DLC content as it is finalised. We will also preserve our original roadmap to show and explain changes.
